WANTED: 13" tyres - needed for SVA on FRIDAY!

Got a little distracted with doing lots of work on the car, and now have ended up with very little time to get some road legal rubber on my car.

I currently have slicks on the wheels, but my SVA is on Friday, so I need tyres SOONEST so I can get them fitted early next week, amid a load of other jobs (like fitting a tow bar to the wifes car so I can get to the test!!!) *GULP*

Does anyone have any for sale? Or even to borrow - I know its a pain but worth asking as I'm jobless ATM!

My wheels are 13" capri wheels, tyres are marked as 7.0 wide so I guess that means I need approx 185 tyres?

Anyhow, speed is of the essence as my last ditch hot lead has gone a little quiet!

Can YOU help?

I have up to £100 for the right tyres. More local the better as I won;t have time to organise a courier to collect really.

Surely, you need to know the exact size so your speedo will be within tolerance?

That would be sensible, but no.

Speedo isn't calibrated yet. Its got nine magnets on the prop, and a few of them will get the heave ho either at the test or before if I can go for a cheeky test drive....FNAR FNAR!

anything road legal considered folks.

Best place I know of for tyres is www.camskill.co.uk. They will deliver next day so far without fail and their prices are as good as anyone. I would recommend Toyo Proxes T1-R or Falken FX-452. Both are good value and excellent performance.

Good luck,
Craig.

surely you can get some cheap budget tyres for 25 quid or so each? No good in the long run I know, but just for the sake of the test maybe?

Or even some part worns?

May be worth having a chat with your local independant tyre fitters?

Had enough of this dictatorship known as LCB. Gone elsewhere, not coming back. Kiss my ass ChrisW.

I have a set of AO 21rs that I bought from someone on here recently, there fitted to ford Rs alloys .I was intending to put them on my car but as there 60 profile and my car was built around 70 profile tyres they dont look correct and i need to make new wing stays , recalibrate the mechanical speedo etc so no good to me.
There in good condition with 5mm tread and the wheels are also very good .
I need to get back £200 for them so maybe to expensive but willing to get them on a courier if interested.
