What gearbox are you actually wanting an XR4i gearbox or an XR4x4 gearbox they are not the same.

XR4i is rare as hens teeth and will cost you

XR4x4 is a 4 wheel drive box and plenty kicking about .

Hi

I am looking for a MT75 V6 box out of a 4X4, I then want to marry the front end of that to the rear end of a normal RWD MT75, so it all hopefully fits on to my 2.9 24V Cosworth engine.

Cheers

The best MT75 to do the conversion with is the 2.5 ltr diesel box, as it has the best ratios, (its what I used). HTH Ray

To make a car go faster, just add lightness. Colin Chapman - OR - fit a bigger engine. Chippy

Hi Chippy, at this point I am considering cutting a hole in the floor and running.

Didn't think getting a box sorted would be this hard

Hi

I have a spare XR4x4i 2.9 Type 9 Close Ratio Box sat around in my workshop if its of interest? It was remove from a 1986 Cologne V6. Does it have to be an MT75? Its got the same bell house mount.

A few pics of it had the start of my Flicker

Thanks for all your help and suggestions, I have managed to track down an already converted box. Cost an arm and a leg but never mind, it's off to MTS to get rebuilt now another arm and a leg

Cheers
