sorry, hope you don,t mind me asking?
but how did you crack the sump?
was it whilst driving or fitting? i ask as i,m in the process of fitting my sump & installing the engine.

Track day at zolder, to fast into a corner and went across gravel and rumble strip, it has cracked the sump at the side of the weld and every time i try to weld the crack up it crackes somwhere else.

Avenue Panels in Rushden(or whatever they are called these days ?) used to be able to supply new sumps . Might be worth checking to see if they have any old new stock? Or how about a nice shiny stainless steel sump?
