Are you sure you don't need some heat shield to protect the starter from heat?

(Thats assuming the starter is on the exhaust side lol)

Gear reduction starter are mainly used in our style cars for when the compression is too high for the starndard starter motor.

If im wrong and you do need one, I can recommend lynxae, I have one of there starters on my crossflow and is a great bit of kit!

I fitted the hi torque starter from Ral Des, fixed all my hot start problems
