On the back of the vectra engine there is a bar that works the swirl flaps and the plastic ball clips snap on it
so i am making a modified bar using small bearings
If you look on the Vectra c forum you will see what i mean
The thing is you have to buy a new manifold not just the bar £300+ fitting
It may be the same on your car Mark

if i were you i would take the inlet manifold off 99% of the time when the butterfly bar goes the bushes inside the inlet that hold the butterfly are usually gone too.

i have got a 1.9cdti signum so i know the score

i machined a new bits for mine as i didnt want to pay vauxhall rip off prices for something that was caused by their poor workmanship and design
