Wanted: Unfinished Project / Unstarted Project - MK, MNR, Luego
Hi,
We are looking to start getting together some bits for our first build (se7en type kit). In an attempt to keep the cost down, if any of you have an
unfinished, unstarted (is this even a word?) project, please feel free to U2U me with anything that could be suitable.
The main criteria is that we have to be able to fit in it. Im 6ft2 and 18 stone, my mate is not as tall (but he makes me look slim, lol).
Thanks in advance

I have a Quantum Xtreme that's surplus to requirements... certainly one of the 'bigger' se7en type cars.
I stripped it down to re-build and haven't got round to doing anything with it.
No engine, but comes with a Type 9 box and Sierra diff.
It's registered, so no IVA!
Let me know if you're interested and I'll send some more details.

Hi,
We would prefer a CEC (but we could source our own and sell any Bike Bits if it was a BEC unfinished project). We don't necessarily have a
budget, but are looking to gain some value if we can out of buying an unfinished project.
We missed out on a BEC MK Indy with 95% of the parts to complete a few weeks ago that was advertised for £4000 (I would have tried to haggle this down
of course), but it sold the day we spotted it, which is about par for the course with me.
I suppose I'm looking for a bargain if possible, but if there's none about we will consider anything that is suitable.

One if not the best handling chassis Westfield ever made, with a few Pro Comp tweeks to make it even better......
And it will be worth something when you sell it

Hi,
I don't want to give the wrong impression. I haven't bought it.
I am mulling over an offer of another kit first I have been offered in here. Out of interest is that going to be big enough for a pair of big lardy
lumps as described above?
Thanks again

I'm still looking if there is anything out there.
We are off to the MK workshops next week if we haven't been sorted, but i'd much rather grab a used bargain
Cheers

Did the deal with scott not happen?
He generally prices stuff to sell very well and hes a nice chap to deal with if you wanted a character reference .
From what I've seen of the quantum it would fit the bill for being particularly comfortable for the better filled out gentleman.
also as a builder nearly finishing his project to one just starting - "no IVA" is worth £1000+ of testing and extra ballache on its own.
This isnt an overestimate. If I were starting again then I would buy a post-IVA car to strip and rebuild!
ETA - he's also got this crappy V8 sitting around in his garage that I'm sure he would throw in for free
ETA 2 - scott is NTDWM btw, never even met the bloke, just offering impartial opinion.

Hi,
I have been speaking to Scott via U2U`s since he first replied to my advert (I may have driven him daft with my mythering).
I don't doubt for one second that Scotts car would be a good deal , and having never met him I can judge from the patience he had with my U2U`s
that he must be a decent chap.
My problem is, this is all new to me, and if the Quantum was as standard I am sure we would have had a deal already. But with the small mods Scott
has made I am worried I am biting off more than I can chew by "deviating from the norm". This as been compounded slightly as I have been
unable to get through to Quantum to check prices/availability of certain bits.
I think an untouched, unfinished (un modded) kit, or complete build that we could strip would suit us best.
I've not totally written the Xtreme off, but im certainly not confident I could return it to the road, and the last thing I want is to end up
another "unfinished project" advertiser on ebay. (this is more a reflection on my own building confidence that anything detrimental with
the kit).

Thanks for the character reference Craig... how much am I owe you this time???
Just been chatting to Tipster... probably not the most straightforward build in it's current 'shape'. I've also just been
offered help to re-build the Quantum, so will hang onto it for now.

new car
Hello
have you seen the new SR2 kit from Roadrunner Racing, it uses the mx5 donor and if you use the 1.6 you can add a turbo to the engine without any
upgrade. It looks like a very good car the web site is www.roadrunnerracing.net car
