Wanted:Lightened Zetec Flywheel

Preferably one that will take the pinto clutch etc like the tiger racing one although will consider anything if the price is right.

What have you got?

Cheers

Rich

why not use the 1.8 flywheel and zetec clutch

Life is like a bowl of fruit, funny how all the weird looking ones are left alone

Think the original 2l mondeo is 9.9kg, the 1.8 is 8.8kg and the proper lightened ones are about 6.5kg. Which should make a noticeable difference even over the 1.8

The dunnell one is £95 although do need another plate and cover which is another £90, the tiger one uses the pinto clutch and cover and is £145.

However if a 1.8 came along at the right price my wallet does tend rule over my head!!

Cheers

Rich

I am using a 1600 zetec escort flywheel redrilled to fit pinto clutch so i could put a 5 point paddle clutch on it, works a treat.

Thought that was a standard one ie 9kg, the lightened one is £230, maybe wrong though.. Have you had one is is it lighter as it doesn't have any weights on it.

1.8cvh flywheel is 6.5kg, but most don't have trigger wheels. Very locost though and fitting a front trigger wheel is easy.

Scholar do an exchange one which is a standard one ground down so still takes standard zetec clutch and ring gear is in the same position. Think its 100 quid.

Thats part of my problem as I had an auto boxed mondeo so don't have a flywheel to exchange.
