Wtd: Metric seamless tube 25mm x 1.5mm wall

I'm after a few short pieces of seamless mild steel tube in a metric size, 25mm OD x 1.5mm wall. It is to house 22mm bearings. I saw some before Christmas but now I come to buy it I can't find it anywhere. Do you have, or know where I can get some? I need half a metre in all or a 170mm piece and 6 pieces about 50mm long. Ta!

25x1.5 tube won't house 22mm bearings. The ID will probably be +-0.3mm (+- 0.1 on OD and wall thickness) and the same on it's roundness, you can end up with it being anywhere up to half a mil out.

For a press fit roller bearing you're looking at tolerances of 0.02mm which will require a turned housing.

If its a plain bearing or bushing then its slightly different.

I'm using flanged bearings which locate on the ends of the tubes. so long as they don't rattle, they'll be OK.

OK. Having previously being told by my local friendly steel supplier that they only do metric in thick wall and imperial in thin wall tubes, I gave up and went to get something in the nearest imperial size. I was duel told "we don't hold that in imperial, we can get you some metric though". AAARGH! and OK
