I don't trust the removable ones, few to many stories of them coming off during driving... I would have to have a good reason to have one, i.e. can't fit in without removing..

All the removable wheel horror stories ive heard have been down to (admited) user error by not connecting them properly.
Saying that you shouldnt bother with them is a bit like saying dont drive, because I crashed when I fell out my car turning left because I forgot to close the door and hadnt put my seatbelt on!

Whilst I agree I would still not trust them it's a single point failure waiting to happen but it's not quite like leaving the door open and leaving the belt off IMHO, that's a lot more obvious than a wheel that comes off in your hand when you pull as the locking mech is not engaged. User error does happen; a steering wheel off at 70/60 is a bit difficult to recover from! Still it's up-to the OP whom ever is driving to make sure it's attached I just wouldn't be happy with it on my car.

Just giving the wheel a quick pull is an easy habit to get in to tho.
I dont think the Snap-off bosses ever gave concerns, they may have a more positive engagement.
