Red top dizzy change

Hi! Is it an east swap to change from a distributor less setup to a distributor? If I go down this route, how much of the wiring can I remove/how much needs changed?

What's the benefit in doing this? The distributor on the 20XE has no built in advance etc. it's all handled by the ECU still, except there are HT leads, rotor arm and dizzy cap to break down and cause problems.
