WTD Mk2 Escort steering column

Has any one got a Mk2 Escort steering column tucked away in 'that pile' at the back of the garage they no longer need? I believe two types have been used on the Mk2 Escort but mine is 0.7" in diameter (including a coat or two of paint!)

Only really need the inner part as it's to replace the one already fitted on my Striker that is now worn due to the play on the 15 year old quick release adapter

As I will be welding a new adapter to it I am not even concerned if the steering wheel end is a little damaged

mmmm, not sure..... looks a little too short to me. I will have to check the length on Monday but thanks for the link anyway

Checked the length on my car an its circa 900mm! I suspect that link is for the lower section only

Can't find one anywhere....can see me getting a custom one made soon which is starting to sound expensive just to get rid of a slight 'wobble' in the current shaft!
