SIERRA

Hello All,

is there anyone breaking a Sierra, or know some one who is ?
When just the shell is left, before its sent to the breakers/scrap man, i am after the gearbox tunnel.
To enable me to convert my Morris Minor to Type9 g/box.
I am in the West Midlands.

thankyou
Jon

I am breaking a Sierra at the moment - although down in Colchester - so perhaps too far for you?

Id be interested to see how you get on with the Morris Minor Type 9 conversion. Years ago a mate put an old Ford Essex V4 & box in one, resulted in a car with a lot of character that was great fun to drive.

My first car was a 59 Moggy Minor, we replaced the engine with a Marina 1300Gt engine and box 6Jx13 Alloys and it span the rear end like no tomorrow !
Great fun particularly on roundabouts in the wet, and in the snow.
Ran out of staem about 85 mind.....

Ahh good ole days :-)

Have had the '58 moggie a good few years now. Just collecting parts before i start. nearly there.
Have a maestro engine that has been refurbished, gasflowed, and converted to rear wheel drive, type9 kit for the moggie was from a moggie parts dealer..
not sure if i can mention company names but will message them to anyone who wants to know.

Colchester is a bit far, but will keep in mind.. how much, and what would postage be ?

cheers

Jon

Depending how urgently you need it I might be able to drop it off at some point - depending where in WM you are - i sometimes go up to Bourneville to see friends. Cost - just beat the scrap man with an offer and it's yours!

Hi JPS. Don't suppose you've got the O/s & N/S door lock mechs / latches / locks what ever you call them. Cheers Steve.
