You obviously have a specific use but are you aware that the final drive ratio on 6th is practically the same as on the 5 speed box?
Given 5 speeders are easier to find you might want to bear that in mind.

Thanks for the heads up but I already checked ratios and first/second are too high with the 6speed final drive ratio.
I'm replacing the 2.0 with a 3.0 jag engine and having another gearbox reduces the time the car is off the road plus I can sell on the old box.
