Thursday Special Buys
Maybe someone might be interested in one of these. Won't lift a car but it should lift an average engine or similar?

Greg.

Anyone know if the Wrench/Ratchet Set is any good?

Do you reckon that would pull a car and trailer up a drive?? I can't push it on my own, it takes 2 or 3 people to move it up my drive (sloped and stones)

If you have a Netto locally, check out the hoist there. My local has a stack of 'em for £40 each, they seem identical to the Aldi one.

wrench/racthets set is ok for the cash,

i;ve had mine a year or so now no problems apart from the chrome chipping off

I have the hoist, pillar drill and the spanners.

Hoist lifts engine in and out no problem and spanners are excellent indeed. Drill is good as well for small jobs.

Should do, it has 125Kg pull or 250Kg with the cable doubled back to the unit.

Are these 1 day offers? Will the offer still be on tomorrow?

Phil.J - 29/1/09 at 01:49 PM

I've got one of the little pillar drills with the head bolted on upside down, then the table, with a sanding bobbin in the chuck. Really usefull sander for the workshop.
A friend has a similar arrangement with a windscreen wiper motor connected to the lever arm so the bobbin goes up and down. Makes a good cheap bobbin sander

It will if there's any left.
