Listed on e-Bay as:
"Very Ugly Sylva - With Fiat Supermirafiori Engine!!"

When I clicked on this thread I thought Zil may have spent some money!

However, if he sees the advert, he may end up buying it!

LOL

On a slightly more dodgy note, the seller states "no V5" but a quick check of the DVLA website shows it is currently taxed?

?

Your not allowed to use the DVLA web site to do that!

mistergrumpy - 2/2/09 at 07:35 PM

^ You are. I think you're getting mixed up with the checking insurance site ^

Guinness - 2/2/09 at 07:37 PM

I'd never abuse the system like that.

Is it insured too? Must be I guess to be taxed?

So it's got no MOT, hasn't seen the road in years, but is taxed and (presumably) insured?

And you'll be allowed to do that soon!

You can create an account this month and then in March you can search their database.

http://www.askmid.com/

I assume it'll tell you more than the free service (Insurer perhaps?) otherwise you'd just use the free service?

Well I suppose the description is one way to attract attention - and to be fair the design is an acquired taste!

To be fair, he's not wrong...

Oh and Guinness ...

You must be F%%ing joking !!
Me ?
Spend Money ?

£900 for a Sylva ?
With no V5 ?

Don't think so.

Don't get me wrong, I will eventually be looking to flog mine, but mine does have a V5 and it will have the bike engine.

Mark my words and remember that I said this. When I eventually do sell it, someone will look at the spec and price and find it extremely easy to see past the front end styling and buy the bargain of the century.

This will be after I prove that it can be a handy tool in the right hands.

P.S. Minitici.
If I happen to be on any Marshalls posts this year. If you happen to be driving. If you look like you're even remotely on the pace, my red flag arm is verrrrryyyyy twitchy.

Remember Gary Dickson at boulders ?
The flag was up before it was an accident.
That could be you...

That would be a right shame....

I had a lot of success and great fun hillclimbing my old Leader. Boy did it get up the noses of the Caterham Westfield brigade

Chris.

Just had an email back from the seller.

"No tax or MOT mate!"

So who is running round on those plates then!?

Mike

zilspeed - 3/2/09 at 05:28 PM

Not me, that's for sure.

If someone is running around on those plates they'll get a nasty surprise if/when the new owner applies for the V5.
