CHEAP? Lathe FS

NTDWM but seems cheap for a bit of kit that would do most of the daft little jobs us Locosters would want to do! Spinning up bushes, drilling and tapping etc....
EBAY LATHE

Crikey looking at it, I think that was originally powered by steam or even Roman slaves

Hmm... possibly a bargain.. providing you only want to machine to tollerances somewhere in the region of 3mm...

Shame the price of scrap has fallen lately or it would have almost been worth while buying.

Look for (in order of preference)

Myford Super Seven
Myford ML 7
Home work shop size Boxford
some of the better chinese ones like warco.

I have both an ML7 and a chinese mini lathe.

Both are ok, the ML7 is a much sturdier machine even for its size, and also more accurate than the chinese one. Super 7 is the one to have though

However the variable speed drive on the mini lathe is very nice.

I wouldn't mind that smith and brown myself very nice and
at that price cheaper than my myford
