Amazing service from Milligrip Spanners
Irony - 22/6/10 at 10:09 AM

I bought a Milli - grip adjustable spanner and Stafford last year and having used it rather excessively I seem to have bent something inside because now there is slight play in the jaws. Serves me right really for trying to unstick a stuck nut with them. I think I might have put wayy to much torque through them to be honest.

I saw the Milli-grip man at Newark and spoke to him about the problem. He looked baffled and shocked that I might have been able to break one of his products (always a sign of good quality). We discussed the problem and he said 'There is no such thing as a unsatisfied customer at Milligrip'. He immediately gave me a new spanner even though I didn't have my broken one with me or proof of purchase.

Amazing service - I suggest you all buy one.

I bought one at Newark this year - seems like a good bit of kit.

They click to specific settings rather than being infinitely adjustable/sloppy like normal ones.

I'll add my praise for this product too

The action is smooth when you close the jaw around a nut but then it somehow locks itself into place at a set metric scale. So you should have a metric sized jaw and not a approximate metric sized jaw.

Perhaps they need to change their website:

"
Will the ratchet wear out?
In all the many thousands we have sold in the last four years, we haven't had one single Milli-grip returned where the ratchet has worn out.
"

looks like a good product though
