my spitfire up for sale
rpm - 4/9/10 at 04:41 PM

i,ve stuck the spitfire up for sale as i fancy doing something different now, (i know where a mallock single seater is sat idle in a barn) theres plenty of scope for developement for a locoster, if i keep it i'll do the subaru diff conversion and theres a few bits that need tidying, but it is a nice car as it is, price as always is negotiable.

That's a very nice looking car. Did you consider including a pic of the engine bay ( I think you should)?

You can see an awful lot of the chassis etc with the bonnet open, maybe that's why he hasn't lol! (only a joke, sure its as good as the rest looks)

does it still use the standard triumph (no pun intended) back axle?

rpm - 4/9/10 at 09:28 PM

yes it's standard diff and driveshafts/suspension at the back, thats what i'll change if it doesn't sell, subaru diffs are a fairly simple swap and there are changes to improve the suspension, or you can go totally radical cut the chassis and replace everything with a sevenesque rear suspension and use a sierra diff, thats probably a step too far for me though
