i,ve stuck the spitfire up for sale as i fancy doing something different now, (i know where a mallock single seater is sat idle in a barn) theres
plenty of scope for developement for a locoster, if i keep it i'll do the subaru diff conversion and theres a few bits that need tidying, but it
is a nice car as it is, price as always is negotiable.

That's a very nice looking car. Did you consider including a pic of the engine bay ( I think you should)?
You can see an awful lot of the chassis etc with the bonnet open, maybe that's why he hasn't lol! (only a joke, sure its as good as the rest looks)
cheers, if you go to the photobucket link theres loads of pics on there

does it still use the standard triumph (no pun intended) back axle?
yes it's standard diff and driveshafts/suspension at the back, thats what i'll change if it doesn't sell, subaru diffs are a fairly simple swap and there are changes to improve the suspension, or you can go totally radical cut the chassis and replace everything with a sevenesque rear suspension and use a sierra diff, thats probably a step too far for me though
Hold on a cotton pickin minute, was this car at Mike Tarr's, Ratt racing???
yes it was, mike and i spent along time working out megasquirt and then he did the rolling road session, top bloke who really knows his stuff
