Potentially useful website...

I'm not sure whether this is the best place to post this or not (or whether I should be posting this at all really as I have had an involvement in the website, but I'm sure you'll all tell me!)
Anyway, there may be some bits & pieces on here that may be of use to some of you, particularly those building from scratch. I get no financial reward from these people but I've had quite a few bits & pieces from them and I've been happy with them.
Anyway, have a look when you get a few mins...

Dont see any reason why you cant post that. Just recommending a supplier that you have had good service from.

Drive boxes look interesting.

Steering wheel and boss is cheap.

It was just with me having an involvement in the website and I know some people can be a little sensitive when it comes to these things.

With respect to the drive boxes - As they stand they won't be that much use in a road car as they they are effectively a solid diff. The new version they are working on based around an LSD could be useful in a very compact BEC Midi!!

oh no here comes the finger over the big red ban button!!

only kidding, they look very cute buggys, I'm sooooo temped to get one for the beach

Cute buggies??? I'm sure he'd appreciate that! The one on the home page is his '08 car. It's got a cammed etc 'busa in the back.
Class 10's now tend to be twin BECs with 2 R1's or similar mounted piggyback in the rear. 8 of these side by side from a gate start on a 1/4 mile dirt oval is quite entertaining (not cute!).

Has any one used these uprights on 7?

They list under chassis components on the above web site.

Just think of the weight of these over standard cortina stuff.

Only one thing wrong with the drive box is that only having two cogs means it will run the wrong way.

Richard Quinn - 14/2/08 at 02:11 PM

The cars definitely go forwards. The engine is mounted the other way round.

Which is no good if you are building a middy as the engine will hang out of the back of the car

Ok, point taken. I stand corrected.

That upright looks not much different from the weight of the standard cortina one, maybe even heavier.

That buggy's so cute I want to give it a big hug

You crack me up. It is cute though, i defo see what you mean. It looks like it would wag its tale and lick your face rather than growl and bite your leg off.
