Thats was probably spelt wrong, or had some grammer, that the "grammer police have to have a moan at

Grammar Police junior officer here, when I read the thread title I though “here we go, V5 selling/buying again”
“Mini and V5 wanted” has conatations of ringing.
Thread title should be “Mini with V5 wanted” which is a simple car wanted request.

Must admit I read the thread title and had the same thought. The reason I looked at the thread was to see what reaction people had given.

Although I know steve m's not a fan of being picked up on spelling (see his footer) the word "grammer" in his footer is spelt wrong - should be "grammar".

My mate is restoring a Mk1 - i'm amazed by the price of panels for them - I think he said a repro door (just metalwork) is £500!

Still, great cars to drive :-D

I've heard the same.

On the plus side you can get most if not all the bits though. Other (not so old) cars are a little harder to get good bits for

You could always use a GRP shell
BL actually produced a GRP Mini in 1966 for the South American market

I fancied a Mini project too but didn't fancy the associated rust (I've had a Lancia!! )
So I opted for fibreglass. Might not be as cute as a Mini but should be at least as much fun

£85,000

As someone who's not a fan of Minis (old or new) that seems utterly staggering, but then I don't look at the prices on them.

There's one parked on a drive on Watford - old external hinge type.

Been there for years & probably worth a few quid now.
