I don't think that an X-plated mondeo would have a duratec in it so it is probably a zetec!

According to burtons web site the duratec was fitted from 2001 which I think included some X reg.

Best to check first though

An X plate I'd have thought would be a Zetec, also it overheats, more likely a head gasket than a waterpump.

It says it's a 2.0ltr Ghia and has Duratec on the engine so I think there's a chance they know what it is. It's only 19 miles from here, it's near Sheffield in Norton.

yours, Pete

I went into the RSPCA office the other day. It was so small you could hardly swing a cat in there.

I reckon you've put your finger on it, Paul. makes sense now I think about it. Normally if someone were scrapping a car they would sell whatever bits they could, but just the engine.......

Had a look at his other items, he's selling the dash and the steering wheel too.

But what about all the other bits? Wonder what's going on

Hmm, sounds strange to me, the Duratec didn't enter Genk plant until 2001 and I got a zetec out of an 03 Mondy...

And I would suggest its goosed if its been overheating.
