C20XE redtop RWD sump

There is a gullwing sump for sale on ebay - the guy says it is 13cms deep. Will help stop the oil surge, but its too near the floor for my liking.

Hi Steve,

I measured mine and it is 11cm deep. I have bottomed out as well, mind I was landing from a take off at 80 mph so it was quite unusual. I don't have a gull winged sump and the engine runs just fine. I would recommend buying a standard aluminium sump and getting it cut and shut. I wouldn't have thought this would cost too much if you don't happen to have the ability to weld ali.

Remind me to talk to you about the oil filtre when I see you this weekend.

All the best.
Steve

I've got a standard c20xe sump (Ali) that you can have for the cost of postage, if its any good to you?
