But as a limited edition collectable bottle and label, it is exempt from such ruling I beleive.

Thanks,

Martin

Considering the contents of the hogshead went on to fill 267 bottles, I should still have some left in a few years! Alls I'm trying to do is recoup some of my dads initial investment.

Cheers,

Martin

I thought that trick re "the bottle and label are for sale the contents are for free" stopped working on Ebay about five years ago- I used to get some nice bordeauxs that way until the closed the loophole...

cool, did think you'd prob had a barrel. Will be in touch, lovely dram is macallan, and I've never tried the full cask strength item!

I hope you don't mind me posting as I don't think it will detract from anyone who wants a bottle of your whisky. I bought a bottle of 18 year old Glen Marnoch single malt at £17.99 from Aldi as a birthday treat for myself a couple of weeks ago and it was very nice . I think it evaporates though as it didn't last long

yours, Pete

I went into the RSPCA office the other day. It was so small you could hardly swing a cat in there.

not a problem matey, i dont mind at all. some of aldi's ones are very palatable indeed. The thing with this macallan is that this bottling is a one off, therefore with quite a unique flavour, plus leaving it at cask strength (in this case 55.4%) it means it can be diluted with water to taste (and i would strongly recommend diluting slightly, otherwise its pretty strong!).

its a specialist thing really, but definatly a nice drop, plus it'll never go off, or change now its bottled, so i'm in no great rush to sell it all.

and being 70cl of 55.4%, once watered down to 40%, you're getting the equivalent of 97cl, which is 38% more drink in essence!

dammit, i slipped into sales pitch there!!

whatever, its nice and you should try some!

ebay rules still state: ", except for certain sales of collectable containers".
So start collecting some more Bordeau.
