at 3.5 seconds many of the spark plugs have burned away and the engine is dieseling

At full throttle a dragster engine consumes 1 1/2 gallons of nitro per second, the same rate as a fully loaded 747.

i always rebuild my engine after each time i go out in the car lol

Watched the Full Throttle Top Fuel dragsters on ESPN this year (2012 season).
They think the cars are closer to 10000hp

IIRC, the teams sometimes give away parts that pass the "fail in a spectacular way" test.
