Standard airline/Spraygun fittings
bigandy - 25/9/10 at 04:13 PM

Afternoon all,.

I bought myself a fairly cheap touch up spraygun a year or so ago, and I have just gotten around to unpacking it to use today. However, I have a slight problem, in that it has a male threaded attachement for the airline. My airline quick disconnect also has the male on the output side. I have no idea what these threads are, and I need to get hold of a female-female adapter fitting.

Does anyone know what the normal thread type is of these fittings? I have measured the threads, and they appear to be slightly tapered, with an OD of approx 13mm, and a thread pitch of 1.25mm.

Any ideas?

Andy

1/4" or 3/8" BSP

EDIT

its 1/4" BSP

Not sure I've ever seen a female to female coupling

Can you take out the tail out of the gun and change it for an appropriate quick connect?

I've always manged to hack something together. Every time i go to the local tractor supply place I get a couple of different BSP fittings and keep them in a pot. I've never not been able to connect anything up since I started

How long have you been using the internet?

You want one of these fitting to your airline and gun then get some more female fittings for your other tools.
