Bought one of these legendary, weapons recently(£7) have used it very few times, and it is now bald , most of the wires being impaled through my teashirt!!

Obviously it was c**p , where and what is a good make that will last?

Or do they all self destruct?

I had a couple that self destructed. But the last ones I have bought have been pretty good. They were bosch ones i think, about £10.

You will still need some heavy material between you and the brush - I've ended up with wires stuck into the skin of my leg before now!

In the end I used to wear my leather welding apron...

I got a wire in the upper lip once very painful after I pulled it out! I find a decent boiler suite is good and a visor type mask. Also watch what youare brushing, too much pressure over a sharp edge will throw wires like anything! They are great tools for cleaning but do handle with care!
