Pipe bending

bleh, need to bend some 19mm steel pipe, could also do with a reasonable price pipe bender that'll do the job.

any tips or suggestions?

I found a local wrought iron making bloke and paid him 20 quid to bend the tubes I needed for the chassis. wasn't worth hiring or buying a bender for it.

I went to SpeedyHire and got a conduit bender for the day - £16. It came with a 20mm former and it bent my 3/4" CDS quite happily.

Mark up a piece of scrap first to measure the displacement of the bend so you rear panel is exactly the right size Rescued attachment Pipe bending2.jpg
