Does anyone know of any good, free recovery software for recovering deleted pictures from a compact flash card.
I accidently deleted about 20 or so pictures from my card that I would like to recover.
All the freeware programs that I have tried so far seem to be crap.
I used to have a program for Win 98 that I got from a cover disk ages ago and that was brilliant, but I've lost it
As soon as I deleted the pics I removed the card from the camera and didn't write any more to it so the files should be ok if I can get them off.
Sugestions and links would be good.

got a programme that will do what you're after. never used it myself but gave it to a friend and she got some photos of a msduo after it had been used and used loads of times since. its a full trial of some software that i have hacked so works pretty well

Try this .Akzept the agreement and download the file, it's free and it works on most of the stuff I've tried it on.

I've got that Prog.
I haven't tried it yet but an IT friend at work said it was ok with easy to recover stuff but the agressive scan wasn't that great.
I shouldn't need the agressive scan as I haven't used the card since deleting the files. I'll give it a go overnight (its a 1 gig card with about 400 jpj's on it so it might take a while)

I don't know how good the stuff he uses is but that found fragments of stuff I deleted almost 2 years ago on my camera card.
