I'm going to be off work for the next two weeks! Woo hooo. Trouble is I have loads of major projects on site at the moment. Mobile phone is OK
but I want to be able to read and send emails from home.
I have a works laptop, an 8meg bb connection through a single modem which goes via a usb cable into the back of my dell desk top.
The IT guy at work said "connect the laptop to your broadband connection then activate remote networking"
Fine, but how do I connect the laptop to the BB connection? Or do i just un plug the modem from my desktop and get it to run on the laptop each
time?
Mike
install the modem on the laptop is one option,
better would be network the desktop to the laptop and then "internet connection sharing" and share your broadband between the desktop AND
the laptop, both connecting at he same time

Thanks guys,
i have pulled the cable out and stuck it in the back of the laptop! I'm now at work?
Cheers

I already have a bluetooth dongle, is that going to work?
not tried with bluetooth, but in theory should work .......... as long as you have one per computer
