Locost bodywork
Triton - 7/11/08 at 12:25 PM

Big possibility that will be able to offer Locost body work again if there is enough interest to warrant the time and expensive to make the moulds.

Escort based with the 9" rear wings as well as Sierra based with 11.5" wings.

Worth the effort to do a complete 10 pce kit or just keep to the original design and have nosecone, scuttle and wings?

Up to you now so email or post

Mark

I would be interested in a set, depending on price and transport cost to the continent (the Netherlands to be precise). Locost, as per the book, 15" wheels, 195/50-15 tyres.

What would be in the 10 pieces set?

btw, I am considering making my own moulds for the bodywork as well... (locost style )

Would you be planning on taller noscones and scuttles for fitting of modern twin-cam engines? If so, I'd be very interested.
Regardless, though, I'm going to need to get some sierra width rear wings.

Cheers,
Bill

Edited to say, something in the region of 12-13" for the scuttle height above the rails would be perfect

There's got to be a market for nice +4" nosecones.

Put my name down for a start....

I would suggest keep it simple at the mo ie Nose bonnet scuttle & wings.

But agree that taller items would be of greater interest, certainly to me.

Oh and rear panel...........

...depending on price etc.
Nose, bonnet, scuttle, back panel, maybe wings (narrow).

i would be very interested as i have tried to make the nosecone, scuttle, and wings myself and apart from it being extremely hard, i think the moulds just look like the dogs dinner.

Hi

I'm in the market for some wide rear arches ........... not sure if 11.5'' is enough though, if I remember correctly I think I need 13'' wide ............ I'll do a trial assembly and remeasure if you decide to go ahead.

Oh! and I'm afraid I couldn't collect, don't know if that would be a problem.

Regards Mick

I use TNT for shipping Roadster bodywork and seats so no dramas there.
