where to buy grp and aero fabrics

where can one buy grp? im looking to buy foam to make a mould for my bodywork, and then compatible (ie non dissovling) resin and matting to make the bodywork, where can i get all this stuff?

also on an interesting aside, i remeber talking on here a while ago about using aircraft fabrics on the straight bits, anyone got any ideas on techniques and places to buy that? thanks again

hmm, i vaguely remember that, i think there was some discussion about using cotton fabric or something?

Did the aircraft technique have a varnish / resin painted on the cloth to give rigidity, sure that alluminium is a lot quicker cleaner and stronger for the flat bits.

We use East Coast Fibreglass at South Shields -they also have an e bay shop and excellent service but we can collect stuff,which helps.

I've used CSF in the past.
For foam I'd use florist oasis. Buy a big block of it and it works out reasonably economical....

Aircraft fabric can be dacron or ceconite, think there are others too, incredibly light & quite strong enough as long as you don't put anything sharp against it

Don't know where to buy from but try googling the above fabrics

CFS for the foam and GRP supplies, top firm, and very helpful. Also do a really handy GRP guide in there price catalogue.
This site is also quite good for "How to" type info.
