General consensus seems to be that PU adhesive (sikaflex or similair) will fix just about anything to anything...

BTW I have just got some PU adhesive which is from these people

for only £3.69 a tube and it seems every bit as good....

btw - are rivets not acceptable ?

i think, as you say, that araldite and epoxy sort of stuff is too hard, wont like vibrations and flex. so i guess PU is better, though i have no experience with it.

i do know however that 'no more nails' doesnt hold door handles onto cupboards...

'no more mails' is quite good on your letterbox though...

alot of people I know have used sikaflex (how ever it's spelt) on their cars to great success, you can also get it from alot of car shops.

Cheers for the replies..

sickaflex it is!! had thourght of nice alu countersunk alen head bolts but spend 9days making my bulge, felt that i would spoil the look of it. since posting i have spoken to a few body repair guys who swear by it! believe the big name companies eg ford use it to attach body kits to production cars, have been warned not to use it if i want to get it appart again as it sticks like dog crap to your carpet!!

im off to do some glueing......

Protofj. The sealent/glue you've got appears to be a very good price!.I've used upol's Tiger sealent(thier version of sikaflex)on my locost with good results.BUT it is Twice the price of what you've got.I'll be back to the decorating link posted. As a note i have used screwfix own brand can't belive it's not nails for fixing the ally to chassis.Touch wood it isn't showing any sign of letting go.99p a tube.Bargin.
