im askin a few questions i know but please bare with me
i want to do the car in the colour in this link - linky
- but i have only got this hex code, if i go to a paint place will they be able to mix to this code or do i need a RAL code or something else?
cheers
chris
Just take a colour sample to a paint factor and they will have colour swatches you can match it to, the hex number will mean nothing to them.
unfortunately dont actually have a sample unless i printed one will that do?
Looks like Bugatti blue to me as used on type 35's
Looks very similar to the rustoleum paint I used throughout my build.
LINKY There is a ral
chart on that site somewhere too, no sorry it was on this site Linky
Maybe of help, the rustoleum paint was superb to spray with, haven't been on the road with it yet so don't know how durable its going to be
but doesn't chip off easily and stick like poo to a blanket on ali.
Have a look in my gallery although the rustoleum looks a dodgy colour using my camera so that was probably a stupid suggestion! It may be ok for
you.
Cheers

Rustoleum stuff is great -used theirpaint + adhesion primer on well worn fibreglass jeep body and it came up brilliantly and hasn't chipped or
flaked
Looks a bit like this colour

RAGINDAVE, what colour is that its pretty much perfect
chris
I am not sure what colour it is I did have the paint code..
Its was off a commercial vehicle paint chart I think possibly Leyland.
Sorry I cant help more .
