Firstly i'm looking for rubber sheet to make custom firewall blanking plugs. The sheet / rubber needs to be suitable, in terms of fire
resistance and not giving off nasty chemicals if caught within a fire.
I've searched and searched and i'll be buggered if I can find any suppleir ti sell small quantities of say 50cm square and 6-10mm thick.
Secondly, that soft black rubber screen wash hose, not the hard plastic clear stuff.
Any ideas where I can get these ?
cheers
sean
Can't halp with the rubber, but how about 4mm bore silicone vacuum hose for the washers, tons of it on fleabay..
Have you tried Woolies for the rubber sheet. I haven't checked, but they do quite a range of rubber sheet/mat/section.
Daft question but why rubber?? If it’s that big a hole then I'd use aluminium sheet then small normal grommets for wires and cables. One
possibility I suppose would be to use the fire blanket material for when soldering pipes as that’s obviously fire proof and flexible and might do the
job your after, plus it looks like carbon fibre
you could even put it infront of rubber sheet if needs be
the solder matt I mean -

What are you using the grommets on that they have to be fireproof/self-extinguishing? How long are you planning on staying in the car once it bursts
into flames?

Have a look at Seals + Direct website as they sell small rolls of rubber.
You could try this company for rubber sheet, Mantek 01252 343335 I think you will need silicone to be self extinguishing

Neoprene is self extinguishing. Ie when a flame is on it it will burn. As soon as the flame is taken away the fire will go out
