Just a crazy, money saving thought i have just had.

Has anyone SVA/IVA'd before painting their car?

Bits if my car were unpainted when i first went for 1st test - its not a problem except I think it makes the testers look harder as car doesn't look "finished" properly.

I guess the rules are the rules, and they only find things that are in the rule book - but I think presenting a well finished car helps

Are you sure on your radiuses? It would be a shame to paint and then have to sand a sharp edge down.

Also part of the 'multi colour club'.

Mechanics matter, paint is a bonus.

as said to me before, IVA isn't a beauty contest

i'm probably not going to paint mine either, though i will give it a quick blow over in white

I SVA'd mine without paint.

It had a gel coat finish though!

I'd happily IVA without painting, I wouldnt want to spend big $$ on a paint job only to have to damage it if I had to modify the bodywork for the test.

As long as it looks tidy I dont think it would be a problem.
