Im still in the process of trying to decide what my car will look like, one idea that has just popper into my head is to take an existing tintop bumper, cut bits of here and there and fuse all the bits to make one new nosecone. How easy is it to do this?

Im thinking ally braces behindthe pieces and glue together? then filler over the gaps and sand to smooth.

Any thoughts?

You can weld plastic very succesfully.

Are you trying to end up with a normal type nosecone?

I can't imagine it'll be that easy to get something as light if you do it this way.

They're not that expensive to buy are they? It's been awhile but £50? £70? For something that's light and looks good doesn't seem too high a price to pay.

But maybe you're going for a different 'look' anyway?

Yeh im trying to get a different look from a standard nosecone, although i might end up getting a standard nose and modifying, still undecided.

Another option is modifying a motorbike nosecose for a different shape and look

Secret is not to cut straight lines as you end up seeing the join, wavy zig zag lines are the key, then ,material then follows the natural curve
