hicost blade - 28/2/10 at 12:04 PMIm using 1.2mm (18 gauge) for my floor
, as reccomended by a Westfield/Locost specialist, It has to be NS4 though!!!!!!
MikeR - 28/2/10 at 12:11 PMi've not done my sides yet but general wisdom seems to be to use 1.2mm ali on the sides - so thats what i've got.
big_wasa - 28/2/10 at 12:34 PMI will say 1.5mm is a lot harder to work with than 1.2mm.
I did the tunnel sides and rear bulk head in 1.2mm. I did the scuttle in 1.5mm.
I did the floor in tank armour ie 1.5mm steel![]()
1.5mm would be fine all around if thats what you have. Depends what you will use the car for. On the road I would like a bit more than 1.5mm of alli between my bits and the tarmac.
Bluemoon - 28/2/10 at 12:56 PM2mm ali (don't know grade its as supplied by mk) on mine.... I even feel that should be thicker, still as far as i know all indys are 2mm..
