Exoskeleton colour
smart51 - 18/6/10 at 08:40 AM

I've just started welding up an exoskeleton chassis. What colour is the right colour to paint it? I think I should paint everything the same colour - wishbones, steering rack, pedal box, the whole thing. The choice that wouldn't make it look odd are black and silver. What do you all think?

Annodiesed blue chassis... Black wishbones etc.

Chrome everything

personally I would have the wishbones etc a different colour to the chasis

vote for black then contrasting colour for wings interior etc good example would be the black/orange 7's with opposite colour wings etc very eye catching but without looking naff

Everything blact is the way to go imho. Maybe a light green pinstrip on the outside too

There will have to be a pair of cycle wings and a fuel tank cover behind the seat (the donor scooter's tank is not lockable but has a lockable flap. I'll probably have a GRP dash to mount the instruments and switches too. A contrasting GRP colour is possible.

something more interesting than black/silver, and different chassis and wishbone colours.

why not do a splatter affect, stand back and throw what ever apint you have at it with a brush. Then when you scratch it putting it together its will be a doddle to cover up...

Not as daft an idea as it first sounds
