Hi Guys,

So i really have tried searching but as the search isn't really working it's difficult....

Anyway,

What adhesive is best suited for gluing rubber U trim to my fibreglass/gel coat bodywork?

Cheers,
Andy

We tried allsorts of 'proven' methods when we did ours. Found out that superglue worked best for us.

I used superglue on all my rubber trims. If you use the metal reinforced trim you should not need any glue.

I used the metal reinforced type

Mine, which has the metal reinforcement, is still on the car and its been more than a year on the road now.

+2, not moved a jot since fitting, once on and 'secured' with a gently tap from a rubber mallet it is on for the longhaul

I thought most of this trim fell off after IVA ?

Channel section rubber about 10mm wide fixed with superglue, been on for 7 years and no problem. Personally I think it looks neater that the metal reinforced type.

I used 6mm rubber U trim glued on with superglue
Silicon or PU works ok but PU can be messy
