Will these wheels fit my MK Indy
yellowcab - 11/2/13 at 08:30 PM

Fronts: 6J x 13, ET24

Rears: 8J x 13, ET24

Can anyone forsee any problems with my running these wheels, considering the 'standard' would be ET35

Please let me know if someone has tried before and succeeded/ failed.

Thanks in advance, Olz.

Just to clarify - I mean about the offset... as they'd stick out a further 11mm to my current wheels

Not so much the size of the wheels being 13s - I know i'd have to replace the rear caliper spring...

mat have to fit larger rear wings and nodify the front wing stays sorr cant be of more help

I presume ET40 would have been better... at least that way I could add spacers to bring them out a little...

Err
They'll stick out 11 mm more than you current wheels?
Possibly more....

I take it they're the correct PCD 4 x 108?

Fronts won't cause you any problems, maybe a slight modification too the cycle wings and brackets and that should be ok, But the rear, assuming your currently on 7" rims with et38, then the 8x13 et 24, will stick out further by approx 23-24mm

Thanks for the replies, yes they are 4x108 PCD...

The're Caterham R500 Superlight wheels...

Using the calculator above (cheers chap) they indeed will stick out another 24mm...

Just get a pair of the bigger rear arches job done?

You need big wheels

Mine are 9.5 inch rears love that look and run the r500 alloys too As my 2nd set wheels

yellowcab - 11/2/13 at 09:35 PM

Wouldn't want any adverse affects to the offset that was all.... I remember a while back on previous cars, having the lower offset can cause tram lining etc

Going now to search for pics of your Indy with the wheels on

Think you will find its what Danny uses on his mk race car with the wider arch,

Ask him I'm sure he can help on this,

But uses I think 7" fronts not the 6"

I use the wheels and don't suffer with tram lining as only have a 185 the on the front,

Cheers
Sean

Will look awesome. Wanted some for mine but too expensive for my budget build.
