I'm absolutely love my tiger avon but have never been happy with the bodywork. It's full of holes where things used to be and cracks where things have been over tightened. Would I be best to just buy all new bodywork or get it fixed. Also will other brands of bodywork fit my chassis like mk Indy ect

Phone Tiger and ask them for a best price for cash if they are as short of work as I am you might be surprised.

Ask them if thye've changed the moulds.

I would never advise anyone to knowingly pay good money for the avon bodywork I've seen!

You'll probably have to go custom side panels, but other bodywork should fit.

I know the moulds have been made better but not perfect.

Tiger GTA body work looks very nice on the Avon chassi..

I did see that and do like it but I think I want to keep the style 7 look for now. Has anyone had repairs done on there's with a full respray? Just want to know rough prices

the new Avon body is a lot better, about time too! although as Jossy says its still not perfect. The cost of revamping your bodywork will depend on how much time you want to put into it and what you can do yourself in terms of bodywork, fibre glassing etc.

I've never done any fibreglassing before but willing to give it a go, there's a lot of small holes that'll need to fill, 1 or 2 larger holes (50mm) and countless cracks.

I've always found when filling in fibre glass holes duct tape works very well. Stick some tape over the hole on the outside then use some Isopon p40 filler and fill the hole in from the inside. Once it's cured remove the tape and you will have filled the hole in perfectly.

Thanks ill give that ago. I imagine that will only work with very small holes and anything bigger than say 5mm will need some matting

No it's fine, probably fine for 50mm holes too. P40 is like a ready mixed resin and mat.

The filing of the holed will be easy. Trying to stop and cove cracks is really difficult and getting a good strong diy paint finish is impossible in my opinion.

I would consider filing and sanding and then vinyl wrapping.
I took to it like a duck to water. Its alot more fun and satisfying then paint prep and spraying.

Thanks I will consider wrapping. I have wrapped my rear arches which were difficult around the edge getting the curve but does look good. A few bits have started to peel away from the edge but I think it's because I heated it to stretch smooth and now it's trying to go back to original size.

I have called tiger but there as friendly and helpful as always. Got told ' can't you just check on the website'
