I've removed my rear wings due to changing them and i think they've been tiger sealed on at some point, so my question is.

How can i remove whats left on my paintwork?

I know it's not fuel resistant
So try anything that evaporates

Ive got most of it off but im down to a very fine film, its just that last bit to get off before im down to the paint.

These sealants tend to be silicone based and b&q sell sealant remover. I used it with much success when repkacing land rover windscreens but cant recall if it attacks paint, the frame was galvanised so no paint.

Im not to bothered if it attacks the paint as it could be hidden with out to much hassle.

Tiger Seal is a polyurethane adhesive, don't know if the silicone remover works on it or not.

Acetone seems to work when all else fails for me.its not nice stuff, if you're not into fiberglassing i'll put a pound to your penny that your mrs has a bottle she dips her fingers in for her nails!

Cheers Chris, I've just repaired some Tiger R6 rear arches with new gel coat so have a rather large supply of it.

I shall try that method on a test section.
