I have been offered 1.5mm ally sheet at 39.50+vat which is 1050 H14 grade (huh?)
Can anyone tell me if this is the right stuff for forming my panels (Bonnet, sides, tunnel, etc?)
I found references in other posts to look for and ask for "half hard" but my supplier did not know what I meant and quoted me the above
grade number as what they could supply, saying anything else would have be specially ordered.

So it would seem to be good stuff

The H14 is the hardness, I think this is the same as halfhard?
Don't you want 1.2mm ideally (i.e. 18 guage)? 1.5mm can be pretty hard to bend over a long distance.

I'm useing 1.6mm Half hard, and it's been find so far (90 degree bend about 1m long over soft wood with rubber hammer)...

I payed somthing like £139 inc VAT and delivery to my door for 4 off 8x4 foot, plastic coated on both sides to stop scratches, can check details and supplier tonight if you want..
Hard to remember now but I *think* Ned and I paid about £25 per 8'x4' sheet from Parkers Steel.
That's 1.2mm thick, half hard stuff.

The quote came from here and was for 2m x 1.25 sheets, and they apparently come with a plastic
protective film on.
As they seem to be the right thing I am off tomorrow morning to collect, I was reckoning on 3 sheets to everything (sides, tunnel, scuttle, bonnet,
back end) is that about right?

Going for a steel floor.
Have approached my local sheet metal working firm and for him to do a special order for 1.2mm Al sheets 2.5m x 1.5m halsf hard and finished with plastic to protect the surface he is quoting me £32 each
