Apologies if this has been previously asked.

My side panels have pre-formed wrap covering the chassis upper "rail". My intention is to rivet along the inner side of this rail. Has anyone encountered problems using this method?

Secondly, what did other builders do about the cover plate, just in front of the scuttle?
If this is also to be rivetted in place, there will be a double thickness of material, along the top of the rail, from scuttle edge to engine bay.

What's the recommended "dodge" for this area? Anyone got pics of work already finished?

I've used GRP side panels, but I guess the same applies. I used some ally angle to make a bracket and rivetted this to the inside of the top chassis rail along the section where the battery tray panel sits with the top face flush to the top face of the top chassis rail. This then gives an area to bond/rivet the battery tray panel to. Hope that makes sense
