hi all agian,

has anyone else tried different ways of attaching the nose cone? i was thinking along the lines of clips rather than self tappers again, as i think they will be make taking the nose off a real pain in the future

ok i drilled in some riv nuts to the front of the car under the nose, i screwed in 4x nuts using thred lock to keep them in, cut off the hex top from the nut and put on the nose cone then i keep it on with wing nuts with d shaped penny washers fixed to the nose, so if i want to take the nose off no tools are needed as there wing nuts so a finger and a thumb are the only tools required.

Mine uses Dzus fasterners. Hold on well and easy to undo/do up

Iv drilled downwards into the top chassis rail on mine and fitted rivnuts. Then bolted through the flange that sits on the chassis rail. Iv used thumb screws so its easy to undo with no tools. I might put a hinge on the bottom so it flips down. Ill take some piccies when i get home if thats anyhelp.

Use hinges on the lower edge of the nose, and locating pegs on the top chassis rail. Your bonnet will stop it flying open and you get the added advantage of being able to fill your radiator without removing nose.
The best mod I've done so far!
