Cycle Wings

I know this has been covered before but would appreciate it if some could confirm that not only does the cycle front leading have to be infront of the wheel rim but also if looking from above the cycle wing stretches further outwards to cover the alloy face.

Thanks

Yes,you are correct

Yes, spot on, the wing must cover the plan form (viewed from above) of the wheel - the tyre doesn't enter into it at all

surely width wise, it has to cover the tyre only.

my spokes stuck out past the cycle wing, and i got through the sva. was i just lucky?

cheers for replies, don't really want to have to purchase more cycle wings as the current ones just cover the tyre but not the alloy (protrudes ever so slightly)

Cheers

probably easier to get a set of cheap steels from a scrappy for SVA, paint em so they look good!
