Best way to finish Ally Side panels..?

As the question says...

Whats the best way..? I have access to a demon sprayer, who could make them any colour I want, but if I want to leave them natural, whats the best way to get a decent polished finish on them..?

I'd have em sprayed silver, or replace with stainless steel if you don't care about the weight penalty

I've foudn a lot depends on the grade of aluminuim. some tends to be quite propous so very good at picking up drit nd fingerprints.

What I have one with my bonnet is give a very thin coat of clear laquer; early days yet but seems to be holding up.

If you do decide to paint, then yo need to sue an etching primer.

covered mine in vinyl, the stuff they signwrite vans with, tuff as anything maintenance free, and easily replaced if you get bored with the colour.

I sprayed mine with holts laquer in a can and the car has been outside under a tarpualin for six months, No signs of oxidation.
