Insulating the Fuel Tank
The Doc - 4/11/06 at 01:46 PM

Hi
I'm ready to put my fuel tank in - hopefully for the last time!

I'm unsure of whether to stick rubber sheeting to the tank, strips to the chassis and how much 'fresh air' constitutes an OK gap.

What did you do?

i got some hi-density foam from a sleeping mat, glued to the straps, stops bad vibes

I used stainless steel straps 32mm wide x 16swg to mount the tank and between tank and straps I fitted the black rubber extrusion sold by Woolies for this job. their part no.R678 website: www.woolies-trim.co.uk.
