I'm in designing stages of building a mid engine bec, and i was wondering what material to use fiberglass or thin sheet metal. I want the car to look like a Daytona prototype when all said and done.

Any suggestions?

When I built mine I used ali sheet to get the basic shape & then fibreglass & filler to finish it off. Obviously it's best to use this as a buck & make moulds & fibreglass panels from this, but that all takes considerable effort, time & expense. I left mine as the ali sheet plus glass & filler, been on the road for 18 months now & it's all holding up pretty well, there are a couple of odd little cracks at stress points (should have used more glassfibre in these areas), but generally this seems a sound way to build fairly quickly.
