OK so if it's squishy and you can't feel the hard edge beneath you're OK
If it's solid then it has to be a silly radius
What if we have, say, a wooden moulding covered in 6mm foam then vinyl, permanently attached, perhaps with blind bolts - Does the required radius then
come back into the realms of sanity?
Also - if we go for the silly radius option - over what distance to that radius have to exist? Not much point in a 20 mm radius over 1.5mm of material
Personally I don't think 19mm is a silly radius but you should be ok with a wooden moulding covered in 6mm foam.
Phil
You wouldn't think it was a silly radius if you'd seen what happens to people's kneecaps when they hit hard bits of interior in a crash
On my car I had a 19mm radius quadrant section fixed to the dash lower edge. In hindsight this probably shouldn't pass and I think it only did
because the tester didn't realise the radius stopped. I'd say a half round would be safest.
Just to make clear:
Bonnet U rubber isn't enough on 4mm carbon dashboard??
WINGS U rubber (with metal) isn't enough on a 4mm carbon dashboard??
Tks
